A Quick Lesson in Luck and a How-To for Wishing

These are the rules for making wishes.

1. Based on a time of day:
a) 11:11 is for other people. Make wishes to help someone or something in the world around you.
b) 12:34 is personal. Be a little selfish.
c) Some people believe it is unlucky to look at the clock at 9:11. This has yet to be confirmed.

2. Eyelash wishes:
a) You can not pull the eyelash out. That’s cheating.
b) Eyelashes can’t carry too much weight, so keep these wishes light
c) You can’t change your mind mid-wish with these. It’s a one shot deal.
d) You must blow the eyelash out of sight. If it doesn’t move or doesn’t disappear, your wish will not come true.

3) Dandelions
One blow, all the seeds must go. Sometimes this is easy, sometimes it’s not. That’s life.

4) Stars
a) “Starlight, star bright - first star I see tonight. I wish I may, I wish I might, have this wish I wish tonight” is always a valid option.
b) FOR A SHOOTING STAR: These are big. Save your biggest wishes for shooting stars.

General Rules:

- Remember the genie from Aladdin? You CAN NOT wish for more wishes, you can’t bring back the dead and you can’t make people fall in love. Basic rules of the universe.

- Pennies heads up are lucky for the rest of the day as long as you carry them with you. A tails up penny has no effect. It’s probably good karma to flip a tails up penny to heads for someone else to find. Even if it’s not good karma, you should do it anyway.
